Here’s good news for all the fans of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. If you’ve been waiting to see the Amar and Prem’s jodi ruling the silver screen once again then this one’s for you. If all goes well, Salman and Aamir will return to big screen once again for the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna. Let us tell you, this isn’t hearsay, the writer of the film, Dilip Shukla, who has written other movies like Dabangg, Jai Ho, Mohra, Ghayal and Damini, has confirmed the same.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, the writer said, “I am writing the sequel. It is not easy to pen a sequel. I have to bring something more attractive in comparison to the earlier one.” “The sequel cannot be complete without Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. They will be there along with three other new cast members,” Shukla added.
Earlier, there were reports that Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh will be seen in Andaz Apna Apna sequel. When Aamir was asked about the same, he had told Hindustan Times, “I don’t know if it’s true but if you ask me, they should definitely do it.”
"Andaz Apna Apna is a film that people have loved immensely, so I am sure they would love to see it. I don’t know what exactly is being planned — a remake, part two or an offshoot. But whatever it is, I’d personally like to see a fresh take. As an audience, I would love to see what Ranveer, Varun or any of the young actors would do with the characters," he added.
In an earlier interaction with Pinkvilla, Ranveer too was asked about the same and he said, "I think it's a cult film and I think it's going to be difficult to live up to it. If you are planning to make the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna, you have got a big responsibility as it's one of those timeless comedies."
"And yes, I would love to collaborate with Ranbir as he is one of my favourite actors. There have been several opportunities and I hope one of them in near future materializes. It will be a very enriching experience working with Ranbir.”
